Traffic trailer vandalized

Between Friday and Monday, a trailer owned by the Fountain Police Department was damaged and law enforcement authorities are looking for the culprit.
The trailer monitors traffic speed and the number of vehicles that go by. It was parked in the 400 block of Harvest Moon. Someone smashed the solar collector on the top of the trailer, which keeps the batteries charged. Estimated damage was $1500.
Anyone who knows what happened is asked to call the Fountain Police Department at 382-8555. Anonymous calls will be accepted at 382-4204.
