Traffic on N. Academy traffic flows freely again after accident

After an hour of routing traffic around a head on collision that closed the southbound lanes of N. Academy Blvd at Rebecca Ln, police have reopened the roadway.
At around 8:15 A.M. Sunday morning a head on collision between two cars suddenly closed all lanes of southbound traffic at Rebecca Ln. Emergency crews quickly responded and sent one victim with serious injuries to a local hospital.
Once crews were able to get a handle on the scene, they were able to route traffic around the crash in one southbound lane and the center turn lane as other crew members worked to clear the wreckage. The roadway was re-opened again by 9:30 A.M. to all traffic. The cause of the accident is currently still under investigation.
