Traffic jam scandal

It appears the four-day traffic jam that backed up traffic over the George Washington Bridge last September may have been orchestrated to punish a Democratic mayor who didn't support Republican Governor Chris Christie.

This, according to emails subpoenaed by New York lawmakers. "None of this surprises me; I am embarrassed for the people that are involved. I'm completely disheartened," said Ft. Lee, New Jersey Mayor, Mark Sokolich, (D).

In the emails, a top Christie aide - tells one of the Governor's high school buddies at the Port Authority:

"Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee."

Someone else jokes that students stuck in traffic are children of Christie's political opponent.

In a new statement, Christie says his staff misled him.
