Traffic accident on Hwy 96

The Colorado State Patrol reports one woman was injured in a traffic accident on state Highway 96 in eastern Pueblo County, between Avondale and Boone, Wednesday morning.
Dawn Martinez of Fowler was westbound when she attempted to pass a car and realized there was oncoming traffic. She went off the left side of the road, hit a pipe and rolled. The car landed on its top. There was a small fire, which was put out by another motorist. Martinez was flown to St. Mary Corwin Hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
