Trader Joes, the specialty grocery store with a cult-like following across the country, is coming to Colorado.

The company, from Monrovia, California filed papers with the Colorado Secretary of State's office Monday to do business in the state by "April 1, 2012."

A group of fans had set up a Facebook page entitled Bring Trader Joes to Colorado with 9,520 members. The page says it about to be archived.

Some Colorado Trader Joes fans drive down to Santa Fe to get their fix of 2-buck Chuck, an inexpensive wine that is a favorite over the years and other specialty foods available only at the store.

The company, which started out as Pronto Markets in California in 1958, now features stores on both coasts and in recent years has added stores in the Midwest and South.
