Town of Aguilar on water rationing till Sunday

Aguilar Mayor, Ellen Larson spoke with News First 5 and wanted to make sure that residents know to be mindful and not waste water for the next couple of days. Due to three major water main breaks , the local reservoir which supplies water to the town was emptied. According to the Mayor a reverse 911 was initiated along with postings at the city hall and local businesses to keep the general public informed of the situation.
MayorLarson stated that the current level of water will keep homes supplied with drinking and cooking water, but residents need not be wasting water with any other usage. With repairs completed the reservoir is refilling and should be back to normal by Sunday.
