Two people were killed and another was injured when a tornado touched down at a ranch in the far northeast corner of Montana.

Sheridan County Coroner David Fulkerson confirmed the deaths and the injury caused by Monday night's storm. He did not have any information on the condition of the injured person, who was taken to a hospital in Plentywood, and he declined to identify those killed.

Don Simonsen with the National Weather Service in Glasgow says a tornado touched down west of Reserve in Sheridan County at about 7:15 p.m.

On June 20, a tornado tore apart the state's largest indoor arena and destroyed several businesses in Billings. That tornado was the worst to hit Montana since the 1950s.
