Top-seeded Air Force will host No. 8 seed UConn in AHA Quarterfinals

Air Force (17-9-7, 15-6-6 AHA), the top seed in the Atlantic Hockey Association Tournament, hosts the No. 8 seed UConn Huskies (15-17-4, 12-12-3 in the AHA) in an AHA Quarterfinal best-of-three series, Friday-Saturday, March 9-10 (Sunday, March 11 if necessary). All games will start at 7:05 p.m. MT at Cadet Ice Arena.

As the regular season champions, Air Force received a bye in the first round of the AHA playoffs. UConn, the No. 8 seed, swept No. 9 seed Canisius, 4-3 overtime on Friday and 4-0 on Saturday, in a best-of-three series in Storrs, Conn. Air Force and UConn met twice in the regular season and the Falcons swept the series at the Cadet Ice Arena, 3-1 and 4-3, Nov. 25-26.
