Toddler's death ruled homicide; arrest made

Colorado Springs police are now calling the weekend death of a 2-year-old girl a homicide. They say "Isa" Isasayen Romero died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
The boyfriend of the little girl's mother has been arrested. 28-year-old Jonathan Howell faces a charge of First Degree Murder.
Police were first called to the child's home on Marion Drive on Saturday, for a report that the girl was unconscious and not breathing. She was taken to the hospital where she died. This is the 8th homicide in Colorado Springs, this year.
