Tigers lose at Bemidji

BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) - Dan Bakala made 34 saves to lead Bemidji State to a 2-1 Western Collegiate Hockey Association win over Colorado College on Saturday.

Colorado College (17-15-2, 11-12-1) outshot the Beavers 35-17. But Bakala held the Tigers to just one goal, that Stephen Schultz's power-play goal late in the first period. Bakala had a dozen saves in each of the first two periods.

Shea Walters and Ryan Cramer had two assists each for the Beavers.

Brance Orban scored his first goal and Jamie MacQueen also scored in the second period for the Beavers (12-14-4, 8-12-4).

All three goals came on the power play.

Josh Thorimbert made 15 saves, just four in each of the last two periods.

The teams tied 5-5 on Friday.
