ST. CLOUD, MN - It's been a challenging road trip for the Colorado College Tigers. After falling to WCHA opponent Saint Cloud CC 5-3 Friday night, the Tigers fell dropped behind early on Saturday on a first period goal by Kalle Kossila.
Tigers freshman Jeff Collett was called on a tripping penalty early in the second period, but the power play didn't last long. After winning a defensive face off, St. Cloud's Ben Hanowski was also called for tripping setting up the four-on-four.
Tigers senior defenseman Joe Marciano then flipped a quick wrist shot past Ryan Faragher to even the score. It was Marciano's first goal of the season.
Later in the period, Hanowski tipped in a shot from sophomore Andrew Prochno and Freshman Johnny Brodzinski added a third goal to finish the game.
The Tigers were out shot 30-17 on the night and have fallen two games below .500. On the other hand, the Huskies jumped into first place in the WCHA with the win.
