Thunderstorms now, more heat tomorrow

First Alert 5 Doppler Radar is showing a healthy group of thunderstorms right now from Teller County down to Las Animas County. Storms are moving very slowly today so there is a chance of moderate to heavy rain between now and 7pm. Most thunderstorms will stay along and west of I-25. Clearing skies late with mild air. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and unusually hot again. High temperatures will run about 10 degrees hotter than average. No serious changes for the rest of the week with hot temperatures and a chance of pm thunderstorms mainly from I-25 west into the mountains. Cooler air with a better chance of rain next week.
