OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Russell Westbrook didn't become an All-Star point guard by taking 30 shots per game.
Even his coach, Scott Brooks, says that's too many. But while saying Tuesday that Westbrook shouldn't have taken so many jump shots in the Oklahoma City Thunder's first loss in their playoff series against Denver, Brooks found plenty of other reasons his team's series lead got cut to 3-1 heading into Game 5 on Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
The Thunder allowed the Nuggets their most points in six meetings this month, having won the previous five.
Denver shot just 39 percent but got more than 40 free-throw attempts for the second straight game, along with a career playoff best 27 points from Ty Lawson in winning Game 4.
