Bomb threat at ACS causes scare and evacuation

Colorado Springs Police are investigating reports of a bomb threat that came in around 5:30 Saturday morning at 2424 W. Garden of the Gods Road. Police say that a call came in saying that the business ACS received a call that the building would blow up. Employees on shift at that time evacuated the building and Police and Fire departments responded. Police conducted a search of the building with a K-9 Bomb sniffing team and found no device. Police eventually determined the call to be unfounded and the building safe and employees were allowed to resume their work.

An investigation continues to determine who made the threat and what the motivation was. Police are following leads as they come in. If you have any knowledge of this and can provide any details that would aid in the investigation please call police at 444-7000 or if you would like to remain anonymous you can call Crime-stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867) or you can simply text CSPD and your tip to 847411 (TIP411).
