At about 10 p.m. the Colorado Springs City Clerk's Office stopped counting ballots and sent its employees home.
At about 8:30 p.m. the city's website showed all the ballots had been counted, then we found out another 10,000 had not yet been included in the count. By just before 10 p.m. another 1,500 ballots had been counted and that's when we learned the employees had been sent home. The Clerk's Office said the employees had been working since 7 a.m. and it made sense to start again fresh tomorrow.
