Fire fighters and their families from across the US and Canada converged on Colorado Springs Saturday afternoon for the 22nd Annual Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial Ceremony. "It gives us a lot of pride to be able to host this event." explains CSFD's Scott Reiman, "I've been a fire fighter for about 15 years now. I had friends who died in the 911 attacks and it's nice for us to be able to gather as a family and remember them. It's really heart felt."
More than 120 fire fighters were added to the wall at Memorial Park this year. Crews from all over Colorado brought thier fire trucks to Colorado Springs to take part in a procession to the park with more than 600 others on motorcyles. There are over 2000 names of fire fighters killed in the line of duty on the memorial.
