Those under 21 could be banned from dispensaries

Anyone under 21 could be barred from medical marijuana dispensaries under a proposal being considered by state lawmakers.
Democratic Sen. Chris Romer proposed the change Tuesday as the Senate held its first hearing on rules for the medical marijuana dispensaries and growers that have popped up around the state over the last year.
The Senate Local Government and Energy Committee was still taking testimony Tuesday evening and hasn't voted on whether to endorse the regulations or proposed changes.
Under the bill, dispensaries would have to be licensed by both state and local governments to stay in business. Cities and counties would be able to vote to ban dispensaries from opening within their boundaries.
