Thieves steal while car owners hike

Thieves are targeting parking lots around town and the Colorado Springs Police Departments says that no one parking lot is being hit more than the other. They have no leads as of now.
Palmer Park, Bear Creek Park, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Canyon Park and Red Rock Canyon seem to be the most hit.
CSPD also added if you plan on going hiking, just leave valuables at home. Even if you put them in the trunk, it is now easy to pop the trunk open from the inside of the car.
