The snowfall across Colorado Springs has been light but persistent, steadily falling since about 4:30 this morning. City, state and county snowplows have been out just as long clearing the snow and putting down anti-skid material on the roads.

For the most part, the major roads are clear and passable. However, drivers are still urged to use caution as winter driving conditions can quickly change.

Even though it's a weekend, City Streets Division Operations Manager Bard Lower says they treat their plow operations the same as they would for any other snow storm.

"It doesn't matter whether it's Saturday or not, people are going places," Lower said. "They may not be going places at 6:30 or 7:00 but they're certainly going places by 7:30 and 8:00."

The snow didn't seem to stall air travel at all. Nearly all of the flights in and out of the Colorado Springs Airport were on time. Of the few delays, most were for only about 10 minutes.
