A 150-pound man vs. a 2,000-pound bull. Can he make it to eight seconds?
It's the homecoming many bull riding fans in southern Colorado have been waiting for. After nearly a decade, the Professional Bull Riders elite Built Ford tough Series returns to Colorado Springs' World Arena.
The world's top 35 bull riders will face off with the "rankest bucking bulls" in the business. The last time they competed at the World Arena was in 2005.
PBR originated in southern Colorado. CEO Jim Haworth says tomorrow night's face off will feel like being back home.
"It's a chance to bring our fans in- really our friends and family- and see one of the best events in the world. We're excited to be back here," said Haworth.
News 5 will be live with a couple of the professional bull riders Friday morning on News 5 Today. Starting at 4:30 a.m., they'll give us a sneak peak of what can be expected at the competition.
The three-day event kicks off Friday night at 8 p.m. The cost of tickets range from $15-$100. For the full event schedule and ticket information click here.
