The Broadmoor Hotel plays host to newly elected governors

The Broadmoor Hotel played host today to newly elected governors from 16 states this weekend. The Seminar hosted by out-going Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter is a two-and-a-half day biennial seminar bringing together governors from all over the country fresh off the campaign trail to focus on the transition from running for office to running the executive offices of their respective states.

A bi-partisan group, the National Governors Association (NGA) holds this seminar to help the newly elected as they make their transitions into office. The seminar began Friday, Nov. 19, and concludes Sunday, Nov. 21.

Denver Mayor and Governor Elect John Hickenlooper attended the seminar and also visited Colorado Technical University in a public outing to discuss topics concerning economic development, human services, health care and the military.
