Forecasters say Tropical Storm Hermine has crossed into Texas. Hermine is threatening to bring up to 8 inches of rain to south Texas and possibly a foot in isolated areas.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the center of the storm has crossed the Rio Grande. Hermine came ashore Monday night in northeast Mexico.

Hermine has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. It's moving north-northwest at 14 mph.

A tropical storm warning is still in effect for Rio San Fernando, Mexico, north to Port O'Connor, Texas.
