HORLIVKA, Ukraine (AP) - Pro-Russian insurgents continue to occupy government and law enforcement buildings in nearly 10 cities in eastern Ukraine.
Many of them are armed, and they fortified their positions today, erecting fresh barricades.
Ukraine's acting president, Oleksandr Turchynov, announced today a new operation to root out the insurgents but it's unclear what action Ukrainian forces will take.
Ukrainian tanks have been seen near one city controlled by pro-Moscow gunmen.
