Teen shot in leg

Colorado Springs police are searching for a man they think shot a teenager in the leg.

The teen's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Officers say they were called to Memorial Hospital a little after 11:00 p.m. Monday night. The victim says he was walking on the 1100 block of Verde Drive when a male approached him, asking for a cigarette. When the victim told the male he did not have a cigarette, the male shot the victim as he started running away.

The suspect was described as white male in his twenties, approximately 6'1" to 6'2" tall with a thin build. He had a light brown colored goatee and was wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes.
