Nearly 30 Colorado Springs employees are out of work after the deli where they worked was seized by the State Department of Revenue.
A sign on the door to the East Coast Deli on Powers & Stetson Hills states that the business owes $57,000 in sales and wage employment taxes.
One employee tells News First 5 that his last paycheck didn't clear the bank and it appears the deli's business account is frozen.
He also says the employees were shocked to learn about the seizure on Monday when they showed up for work.
We left message for the owner, but have not heard back from him.
