Animal rescuers are caring for about 40 swallows that were attacked by Florissant Colorado residents. A pipe was used to knock their colony nest to the ground killing 40 others, including babies. The people were ticketed for '' interfering with a migratory species.'' It is against the law according to the Migratory Bird Treaty to bother swallows. Experts say the best way to get rid of unwanted birds is to call a reputable animal rescue group and not to call exterminators.
