The Crowley County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death.

It happened in Olney Springs on Schulyer Avenue.

The sheriff says they cannot release any information at this time other than it's a suspicious death.

Those in town say they're worried it could be a murder.

"I thought it was a joke because a murder just doesn't happen here," said Virginia McCleary, a resident of Olney Springs. "We have our fusses at town council, but most the time though everybody gets along pretty good."

"Are we going to be able at night and sleep soundly and safely?" said Lorenzo Ulibarri, a resident of Olney Springs. "I can't see it, unless something is done about protection in these smaller communities."

We did speak to the superintendent of Crowley County Schools.

They were on a lock-out status for part of the day, but that was dropped when the sheriff told them there was no immediate threat in Crowley County.

We'll bring you the latest on this as soon as it becomes available.
