The Colorado Springs Police Department and US Postal Inspectors are investigating the theft of a large amount of mail from the Rockrimmon and Briargate areas.
On Saturday officers arrested Marie Low and Jake Cox at the 7-11 on 4710 Centennial Blvd, officers believed they may have been involved in a series of crimes after they were involved in a disturbance earlier in the week. One of them allegedly presented a false ID when contacted by police, leading officers to search their vehicle. Inside they found a large amount of mail not belonging to Cox or Low including drivers licenses, medications and debit cards.
According to police 63 or more people may have had their mail stolen in connection with the case. Anyone who believes they may be a victim is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department.
