A suspected drug kingpin blamed for smuggling millions of dollars worth of cocaine is due in a federal court in Denver.

Oscar Arriola Marquez was extradited from Mexico to Colorado last week. He faces drug trafficking charges on accusations that he used a remote Colorado ranch house as a holding place for hundreds of pounds of cocaine headed to large U.S. cities. He is due in court Monday.

Arriola Marquez was indicted in Denver in 2003. He was arrested in Mexico in 2006 and has been held there ever since.

Arriola Marquez's brother, Miguel, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in 2007 and awaits sentencing.
