Suspect sought in Springs stabbing

COLORADO SPRINGS - Police are searching for a man who is a suspect in a stabbing death at a Colorado Springs apartment complex last month.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Hermis Pineda-Lara, 36, a Hispanic male from Honduras.

He is a suspect in the death of Efrain Murillo-Mejia, 32, of Honduras, at 1802 Monterey Road on January 28.

Colorado Springs police describe Pineda-Lara as armed and dangerous, and believe he is trying to make arrangements to leave the city.

Pinedra-Lara is described by police as 5'7" tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
