A 16 year old is facing felony charges in connection with the murder of another Pueblo County teen.
Kenneth Lazo is being held at Pueblo Youth Corrections on an Accessory to Murder charge. That's a class 4 felony.
Earlier in the day, the Pueblo Police Department arrested a man wanted in a shooting that happened Wednesday night. Arien Rivas was taken into custody by Pueblo Police Officers at a house on Pine Street.
Rivas was wanted on a first degree murder warrant. He is suspected in the death of another man Wednesday night during a fight at a party.
Sheriff Kirk Taylor told NewsFirst 5 that the murder victim got into an argument with Kenny Lazo. They went outside to fight. Taylor says Rivas walked up to the victim and shot him three or four times. Lazo was at the house where Rivas was arrested. He was taken into custody for questioning.
The coroner identified the victim as Joshua Abeyta, 18. Onlookers performed CPR on him but Abeyta was pronounced dead at Parkview Hospital around 11:40 p.m.
The killing took place at the Meadowbrook mobile home park E. Highway 96.
