Detectives working on the homicide at the Park Ridge Apartments have named Isaiah Jackson, 31, as the suspect arrested in connection with a man killed on Friday morning.
Police say a burglary was in progress when apartment employees saw the broken glass and interrupted the burglary.
Early information indicated a possible stabbing but police say blunt trauma factored into the man's death.
The burglary took place in a first floor apartment that belongs to Ron Philips. He received a phone call from a coworker informing him of the break-in.
"I feel bad for the family involved," Phillips said.
"It's just a sad situation."
The victim, a man in his 30s, will not be identified until an autopsy is performed Saturday afternoon.
