Suspect gets away following armed robbery in Colorado Springs

The Chief Motel was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon according to Colorado Springs police. Investigators say an armed man walked into the motel around 4:20 p.m. demanding cash. The person working filled a bag with cash and the suspect ran off with it. Officers searched the area, but were not able to find the suspect. It's not known how much cash was stolen.
