About 750 people rallied in Denver in support of immigration reform on Sunday.
The event at Confluence Park near downtown coincided with a march on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Organizers say tens of thousands of people have traveled from around the country for that event.
President Barack Obama has sought to assure activists and two senators who are drafting a bill of his support for comprehensive immigration overhaul. But the White House has also signaled that the issue is not among the legislative priorities it wants completed before the entire House and one-third of the Senate face voters in November.
