TODAY: Winds of change blowing in southern Colorado today thanks to the first of two cool fronts flying through eastern Colorado early in the day. Thanks to that front, temps will be at least 10 degrees cooler today, and you can expect to see wind gusts around 30 mph following the front.
TONIGHT: Cool front also means much cooler night-time temps this morning. Temps expected to be in the upper 40's and lower 50's at the lower elevations. It may feel even cooler than that because it will be a little breezy at times throughout the night.
THURSDAY: Cool-down is short lived as temps come up tomorrow, six to eight degrees warmer compared to this afternoon. Mostly sunny and dry conditions can be expected throughout most of the day. That could change by tomorrow night as another; more potent, cool front arrives. The next front will bring us a slight chance tomorrow night of an isolated storm as it arrives. 20% chance for Teller and El Paso County including Colorado Springs. We will also see a slight chance of a storm again for the eastern plains. Behind this next front, expect more up-slope cloudiness during the overnight forecast and into the start of Friday.
FRIDAY: Breezy, more clouds and cool to start the day...and it won't be warming up much by the afternoon. High temps in the Springs only around 70...with some 60's around El Paso County. Pueblo will only reach a high temp of 76! Enjoy! By afternoon we'll have enough moisture around to see a few thundershowers. Chances for all of us will be at about 20%...including Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Canon City.
SATURDAY: Cool temps stick around, but we'll see much more sunshine than we did on Friday and skies will be dry. 60's and lower 70's around El Paso County and in the mid to upper 70's for Canon City, Pueblo and La Junta.
SUNDAY: Don't get used to the cooler temps. High temps to end the weekend will be back around 80 in the Springs and the mid 80's in Pueblo. Skies will be very sunny and dry again.
MONDAY-TUESDAY: Temps will be even warmer both days with mostly dry conditions at the lower elevations. By Tuesday there will be at least a slight chance (10%) around El Paso County of a stray shower....chances will be a little better over the mountains for one or two storms.
