The Greenwood Subdivision west of Wetmore has been ordered evacuated in the face of a fire that's been growing in size.

The fire is burning about 5 miles southwest of Wetmore in Custer County. It is now estimated at 100 acres with winds gusting to 50 miles an hour in the area.

Evacuees have been told they can go to the Wetmore Community Center.

This fire was caused by lightning and is burning at approximately 9,000 feet elevation in the San Isabel National Forest.

Crews on scene include a helicopter and a single engine tanker, but winds are causing problems for the aircraft.
