Students to explore cultures and issues

Fountain Valley School has students from 14 countries and 26 states. This Wednesday, students and faculty will celebrate and delve into diversity at its 10th annual "Unity Day."

The school holds workshops dedicated to exploring cultures and deepening understandings of race, class and gender issues. This year's workshops include:

* Thailand Today: discussion, video and Thai food, sponsored by a Thai student
* An Examination of Social Class in America
* Computer and Internet Culture
* Your Hips Don't Lie!: students will hear the music of Colombian singer Shakira and learn how to move like her

Fountain Valley School is a boarding and day school on 1,100 acres in Colorado Springs.
