Struggling thrift store permanently closes

Colorado Green Services has abruptly shut its doors in the Belmont shopping center, although inside the store is still full of second hand merchandise. The property manager, Elkco Properties has confirmed the business has permanently closed.

Colorado Green Services organized after the Pueblo Goodwill lost its affiliation last year. CGS had planned to open a thrift store at the old Toys 'R' Us building near the Pueblo Mall. In fact, the group had the building remodeled. However, News First 5 found out CGS decided not to move into the building for financial reasons.

People who work at the Belmont Shopping Center say they want people to stop leaving donations at the store.
