There is a slight chance of seeing an evening storm in our metro cities this evening, but most neighborhoods will stay dry. Tuesday will hold a better chance for wet weather in southern Colorado with some storms possibly severe. The main risk for severe weather will be east of the I-25 corridor, but like we have seen in recent weeks this storm risk will have to be watched closely to see if it moves farther west. The main risk from Tuesday storms will be for the threat of large hail and damaging winds. Drier air will begin to move into southern Colorado for midweek. This airmass will cut back on the storm chances but allow temperatures to once again heat up.
Tuesday forecast:
Colorado Springs: 30% chance for afternoon and evening storms, high 80
Pueblo: 30% chance for late day storms, high 87
Monument: 30% chance for pm storms, high 76
Teller County: 30% chance for storms, high 67
