Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Drew Dix will be honored with a street named after him in a more prominent location.

Drew Dix is a Pueblo native honored with our nation's highest military honor for actions during the Vietnam conflict. Drew Dix Drive is a short street in a residential neighborhood in Belmont.

The Pueblo City Council voted 6-0 last night to rename Drew Dix Drive as Nottingham Drive.

That paves the way for part of Platteville, just off I-25 on the far north side of Pueblo to be named Drew Dix Parkway. That road will eventually be extended a couple of miles to the west to join up with a future extension of Pueblo Boulevard.
