Street renamed after Pueblo businessman

The next time you walk along the Pueblo Riverwalk, you may notice a new street sign in honor of a local businessman.
Grand Ave. between Union and Santa Fe has been renamed to Alan Hamel Ave. Hamel retired from the Board of Waterworks earlier this year after working there for more than 50 years!
The City of Pueblo says Hamel was instrumental in the construction of the Riverwalk, so they found it fitting to rename the street in his honor.
