Sometimes our busy world comes to a halt over concern for something that unites us all -- like a cat caught on a power pole. The black and white cat, with a pink collar was stuck near the top of a power pole for two days. News First 5 received a call from a neighbor in the 2200 block of Lewis on Pueblo's west side. We called Animal Control and they called Black Hills Energy.
Once things got moving it didn't take long to solve the problem. A Black Hills employee used a fiberglass pole to coax the cat down. The whole rescue operation took less than a minute. No injuries, no power outage and the cat ran away, no doubt with only eight lives left.
