"I was really shocked", said James Evers.

The news spread quickly.

"I just can't believe they came this far", said Marietta Harman

Two brothers and their sister wanted by the FBI were right here in their own backyard.

Their white Subaru was spotted at this Colorado City convenience store.

"They were average customers", said Jennifer Neal.

Store Clerk Jennifer Neal was stunned to learn she'd come face to face with a fugitive.

"They bought fuel, sunflower seeds, candy and vitamin water", said Jennifer Neal.

She didn't recognize them and they didn't act suspicious. Only later when investigators arrived did she know their identity. She said that might have been a good thing.

"I'm glad I didn't know who they were", said Jennifer Neal. "Who knows, being nervous would have triggered anything. "

But one question still remains on local residents' minds.

"What happened to them that made them go bad like that", said Marietta Harman. "They're young kids."

Young kids who are now in a lot of trouble.
