Steve Bach will be listed first on ballots for the May 17 mayoral runoff election. Richard Skorman will be listed second. The order was determined in a blind drawing in the City Clerk's office Thursday morning.
Some election observers say top-line billing gives a candidate of being selected by undecided voters, especially when numerous candidates are listed for one race. Neither campaign is too concerned about that in this race. "There's some theory that there's some slight advantage to being top-line," said former State Sen. Andy McElhany, representative for Bach's campaign. "I think in a race that's this highly-visible, it doesn't make much difference."
