The Steelworks Museum in Pueblo is looking for photos of steelworkers from the last 125 years.
The Bessemer neighborhood in south Pueblo, which is named after a steel making process, will turn 125 next year. The museum continues to archive maps, photos, blueprints and employment records. But they could use help gathering old photos of steelworkers at work or play. Pictures of wives hard at work while their husb ands were making steel are also needed, as well as stories about steel and community.
You may donate your original photos or you may choose instead to keep your original photos and allow the museum to scan them into a database. Please contact Staci Comden at the CF&I Archives at 564-9086 to schedule an appointment to donate or scan your photographs.
