State of State Address

DENVER (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper says he'll offer core principles but no major new programs in his first state of the state speech.

The Democrat say his first address to lawmakers on Thursday will focus on jobs and the economy, with an emphasis on streamlining programs the state already has in place.  Hickenlooper said the state's projected $1 billion revenue shortfall will limit any new agenda this year. He said the emphasis will be on cutting red tape and allowing businesses to create new jobs.
