The Colorado House gave unanimous approval today to a bill co-sponsored by Rep. Pete Lee of Colorado Springs that aims to ensure a uniform system of voting laws for overseas military personnel and civilians.
"Our men and women in uniform serving America overseas shouldn't have to face barriers to vote," said Rep. Lee. "This bill removes those barriers."
The bill requires ballots to be available at least 45 days before any election, which hasn't been the case in previous elections.
