Springs residents recognized for Ft. Carson wildlife project

Local volunteers installed 13 water guzzlers at Fort Carson over the summer. The water guzzlers provide a water source for wildlife including sheep, bear, elk, deer and turkey. They were installed by members of Safari Club Internation (SCI).
Local residents Brett and Rebecca Axton attended a reception with Gov. Bill Ritter Thursday night in Denver. The Axtons are both on the board of directors of the Colorado Chapter of SCI.
