Springs police search for robbery suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS - Investigators with the Colorado Springs Police Department are asking for help identifying a man they believe robbed a pair of convenience stores last week. This photo was taken from a surveillance camera at the Circle K at 3805 Maizeland Road.
The police believe the man forced his way behind the counter and attempted to take cash from the register at around 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, December 22. About 20 minutes earlier, the same man tried to take money from an open cash register at the 7-11 at 525 N. Union Boulevard.
Anyone with information related to the robberies is encouraged to call CSPD at 719-444-7000. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 719-634-7867 (STOP) or emailing crimestop@ci.colospgs.co.us.
