Springs leads state in DUI arrests

Early numbers show Colorado Springs leading the state in the number of drunk drivers arrested over the holiday weekend.
An online tally of drunk driving arrests shows 87 people have been charged statewide with DUI since the enforcement period begain last Tuesday.
Of those arrests, 33 were reported by the Colorado Springs Police Department. Denver police have arrested 15.
Only 16 of the 71 participating law enforcement agencies have released their arrest numbers. No numbers have been reported from Pueblo, Teller or Fremont counties.
